I find Dr Artsen one of the most attentive doctors I have ever used. As she reviewed my current medications, she saw that I had been left on a medication, which she had prescribed at my last appointment, after experiencing a hypertensive crisis that might have been caused by this drug. We then looked at alternative solutions and she submitted paperwork for a treatment, which UPMC immediately approved. It was a serious situation and she handled it quickly, efficiently and with complete attention to my questions as to which alternative treatment to pursue.

Although she offers options, she guides critically by eliciting questions and answering honestly. Her personable nature just adds a layer to her status as the ultimate caregiver.
