Michael A. Pezzone, MD, PhD, is a gastroenterologist and is board-certified in gastroenterology, hepatology, and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Pezzone earned his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed his residency and fellowship at UPMC. He is Chief of Gastroenterology at UPMC Mercy and is an associate professor in Pitt’s Departments of Medicine and Pharmacology & Chemical Biology. Dr. Pezzone’s clinical practice encompasses all aspects of general gastroenterology including functional bowel disorders.
