Shmuel Golfeyz, MD, is a gastroenterologist with UPMC Specialty Care Gastroenterology. He is board-certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Golfeyz received his degree from New York Medical College and completed his Internal Medicine residency training at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center, followed by a chief residency at Metropolitan Hospital. He then went on to complete his gastroenterology fellowship training at Maimonides Medical Center.
Dr. Golfeyz’s clinical interests include gastrointestinal bleeding, colon cancer screening, and biliary tract diseases. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the American Gastroenterological Association.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Golfeyz enjoys creating and building woodwork projects, rock climbing, cooking, writing, and biking.
